Oil Lamp - Kerosene Lamp Cast Iron Småland
Rustic oil lamp made of cast iron with a sturdy handle. Perfect for placing by the gate or door for extra ambient lighting. The lamp is powered by lamp oil. Remember that refilling should only be done when the lantern is extinguished and cooled for safety reasons. For outdoor use only.
The surface is untreated and will oxidize, so be careful where you place the lamp as it may leave marks.
This type of lantern has a long history and was used, among other things, by the railway workers when they built and inspected train rails after dark. It could also be used as a warning light at traffic accidents or road works.
